A bit about me

If you’re curious, ‘Vidhi’ means ‘Method’ in Sanskrit

👩 She/her |🗣️ Veed-hee (विधि)

Hi, I’m Vidhi Mishra.
I design digital experiences that make complex tools feel simple and human. Over the past 5+ years, I’ve led UX work that helps products ship faster, scale more smoothly, and feel calmer to use.

My design journey started with physical spaces, first as an interior architect, then as a design professor teaching 200+ students in India. That background still shapes my approach: systems thinking, visual clarity, and designing for real-world use.

Now based in the Bay Area, I focus on creating accessible interfaces and simplifying complex workflows and collaborating closely with teams to translate complexity into clarity. I care about ethical AI, cross-functional alignment, and design that earns trust.

Outside of work, I’m a mom, a gelato fan, a thrift hunter, and someone who still paints with music playing. Good design should feel like that: calm, clear, and kind.

Quick Answers, Real Talk.

  • Yes, I’m on a valid work visa and legally cleared to work with U.S. companies. If the role’s a good match, I’m happy to chat logistics. I’ve already juggled grad school, parenting, and building products here, so paperwork’s honestly the least complex system I’ve worked with.

  • I like tackling messy, high-friction workflows, especially in tricky, rule-heavy spaces like healthcare or fintech. The messier it is, the more satisfying it is to make it feel simple, clear, and calm for the people using it. I call it Tetris UX, fitting the right pieces in the right places until everything just clicks.

  • Yes, most recently on agentic AI tools. I think a lot about explainability: how to show what the system is doing, why it’s doing it, and how people can stay in control when they need to. Edge cases are always part of the plan.

  • I map the knowns, sketch flows, prototype quickly, and test, usually within days. I don’t wait around for a full brief. I drive clarity through doing. I also lean into optimizing competitive features first, so by the time something hits user testing, we’re already pushing toward a sharper, more differentiated solution. That early, messy 0→1 wondership is my comfort zone.

  • I absolutely can, motion helps guide attention, support accessibility, and smooth out complex flows. I use microinteractions as cues and helpers. I’ve worked with tools like Lottie and After Effects to bring motion into production-ready workflows.

  • I’m comfortable with semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, and writing basic CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I use GitHub Copilot to explore ideas, generate logic flows, and speed up prototyping, especially for internal tools or micro-interactions. I also build with open hardware platforms like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, using JSON libraries and public APIs for side projects. While I don’t ship production code, I work closely with engineers, document behavior clearly, and help design scalable, component-based systems. I also prototype in Framer when we need something more dynamic.

  • In my current role at Marketeq Digital, I redesigned multi-region payout flows: form errors dropped by 35%, and success rates jumped 40%.

  • My 9-year-old son. We invent stuff together, our last project was an Arduino-powered crow scarer. That kind of playful problem-solving keeps me sharp.
